NetLocker revolutionizes the furniture industry: Digital locker solutions for Swiss furniture manufacturers
The digital transformation does not stop at the furniture industry. While many sectors are already using innovative technologies, traditional furniture manufacturers are often still lagging behind. One area in which this is particularly noticeable is smart locker systems, which are becoming increasingly important in modern office redesigns. NetLocker has identified a gap in the market here and is now helping traditional furniture manufacturers to digitize their offering. An outstanding example of this development is the partnership between NetLocker and the renowned Ticino-based steel furniture manufacturer Sara.
In times of New Work, where there are more employees than fixed workstations, the demand for secure and efficient storage space is increasing. However, many manufacturers are still relying on outdated technologies with mechanical keys, even though the technology for digital locking systems already exists.
Our long-standing collaboration with Sara is a prime example of how industries can redefine themselves through cooperation. Although Sara had the necessary know-how and technical capabilities to produce intelligent locker systems, it lacked the right market orientation. This changed abruptly with a project in which our CEO Marco Gola presented the business case for a smart locker system.
NetLocker is the leading software solution for the management of networked locker systems and offers three different editions: Essential, Evolution and Enterprise. Each edition fulfills different security requirements and needs of our customers. Essential is an integrated solution that works without additional servers and network – all the necessary components are integrated into the display software.
Thanks to the cooperation with NetLocker, Sara has now integrated advanced digital products into its range. This marks a significant step forward for the furniture industry in Switzerland and shows that even traditional sectors can be transformed through innovation and collaboration.
“With the new smart cabinets, we are able to produce independently of IT or software support. Our customers appreciate a system that can be expanded to meet more complex challenges without having to change the hardware,” explains Sara’s Managing Director Igor Saglini.
